La conferma che tutti aspettavano è ora ufficiale: Nigro tornerà a giocare per l’Asiago Hockey 1935 anche la prossima stagione! Importante prolungamento di contratto per i Giallorossi che vanno così ad occupare il secondo dei quattro slot riservati ai giocatori di scuola straniera.
Anthony Nigro, nato a Vaughan in Ontario l’11 gennaio del 1990, è un attaccante di 180 cm per 86 kg, che solitamente gioca come centro ma che all’occorenza può giocare anche come ala. L’attaccante numero 21 arriva ad Asiago sul finire della stagione 2014/2015, giusto in tempo per concludere la regular season e giocare dei playoff da protagonista, riuscendo, insieme al resto della squadra, a regalare a società e tifosi il quinto scudetto. Nella stagione appena trascorsa Nigro è stato il centro della seconda linea per tutta la durata della stagione, concludendo la regular season al terzo posto nella classifica marcatori interna della squadra con 55 punti (19 goal e 36 assist). Anche ai playoff i numeri del centro canadese sono sicuramente positivi, si parla infatti di 11 punti in 11 partite.
La società è soddisfatta dell’accordo raggiunto con il giocatore, che nelle due passate stagioni in Italia si è dimostrato un giocatore di assoluto livello, con tanta qualità da poter mettere a disposizione della squadra.

The news that everyone has been expecting is now official: Nigro will play for the Asiago Hockey 1935 in AlpsHL next season! An important contract extension for Asiago that has now two foreign players out of the possible four.
Anthony Nigro, born in Vaughan in Ontario on January 11, 1990, is a 180 cm for 86 kg forward, who usually plays as a center but he can also play as a winger.
Nigro, that wears number 21, arrived in Asiago at the end of the 2014/2015 season, just in time to finish the regular season and play an outstanding playoff, helping the team with his performances to win the fifth Italian title.
In the past season Nigro played as center in the second line for the whole year, ending the regular season as third best scorer in the team with 55 points (19 goals and 36 assists). Even in the playoffs the Canadian center’s numbers were definitely positive, with 11 points in 11 games.
The Team Management is satisfied with the agreement reached with Nigro, that in the past seasons has proved himself to be a successful player and made his skills available to the team.
